Features

Injection Molding

 

Yamaha presents the new technique (patent pending) to try to offer a reasonable solution to the intermediate family of oboes. The upper section of the instrument body is drilled slightly wider around the bore and tone holes. Then, a thermoplastic resin is injected into the cavity and ABS resin forms the outline immediately inside the oboe. This resin retains up to 90% of the wood, and it looks so natural that it is truly difficult to distinguish this model from other models made entirely of wood.

Holes

 

The holesthe upper section of the body of the oboe (except metal octave holes) are molded simultaneously with the drilling of resin.

Spike upper section

 

The shaft of the upper body section of the oboe also molded as an extension of the hole with resin. This ensures a perfect connection between the various sections of the body, even in conditions of excessive moisture.

Mark

 

The trademark logo is stamped in gold on the back of the upper body section of the instrument.
